ZX1 Micro Oil / Re: auto box 407 hdi
« Last post by TheNikster on 01 June, 2015, 11:21:15 AM »
Hi Paul,

I believe we spoke about this the other day on the phone.

For the other forum members though..

Yes ZX1 can be used on a 407 hdi auto gearbox, in fact if your gearbox has fluid in it, ZX1 can be used.

Thank you Paul for your continued patronage

Kind regards

Nick

ZX1 C60 Spray Lube / Re: Penetrating oil question
« Last post by TheNikster on 01 June, 2015, 11:17:15 AM »
Hi Andy

Welcome to the ZX1 forum and thank you for participating.

Your exact application is not one i have come across myself, however the C60 Spray Lube has been likened to WD40 on steroids by a great many ZX1 users including myself and i cannot imagin for one minute that it would be less effective than your previous applications.

Because C60 Spray Lube is made up of industrial strength penetrating lubricants impregnated with ZX1, it is a powerful companion when dealing with metal components that have a tendency to corrode or are constantly fighting friction.

I would expect C60 Spray Lube to do a better job than any other penetrating fluid and would welcome your findings on this.

ZX1 C60 Spray Lube / Penetrating oil question
« Last post by MoJocvh on 31 May, 2015, 11:07:39 AM »
Hi. I am quite interested in this releasing agent as I have a specific job for it.
I have an audi that has the wiper spindles that are Hi friction.  I can temporarily have them back to almost new by the use of penetrating oils and have successfully done so for some time
Whilst zx1 has made quite a difference to the engine as it's application is more or less DIRECT how good is the actual penetrating oil to get the zx1 into the white metal spindles?

Cheers

ZX1 Micro Oil / Re: xz1 rotary engine
« Last post by TheNikster on 25 March, 2014, 11:44:17 AM »
Hello,

Welcome to the ZX1 forum.

I have heard of RX8 owners using 2 stroke oil in the fuel to help lubrication of the rotary engine and in fact two owners of the legendary Norton F1 motorcycle with a similar engine have done the same thing. One of the F1 owners has used ZX1 in the engine oil and fuel for over six years and the bike still runs like new but i have no idea if the same seals etc are used.

I am not an engineer and so am not in full receipt of all the facts surrounding your particular engine and its components but if your engine has seals that are common place in the industry, i.e. rubber or silicone type seals that could just as easily be found in a 4 cylinder engine or gearbox, then i can see no reason why ZX1 can not be used in both the engine oil and the fuel, or at the very least in the engine oil.

There is a 'Rule of Thumb' that we always adhere to and advise our customers to as well, which is, if you are in any way unsure or have a single doubt about using ZX1 in a particular circumstance, don't use it until you can be sure its safe to do so.

Do you happen to know how the seals are constructed, from what materials etc? knowing this might answer the question.

Kind regards

Nick

ZX1 Micro Oil / xz1 rotary engine

hi all been using zx1 for some years  now in nearly everything incl sales cars  but I have just picked up a mazda rx8 and the guys on the forum say don't use it !!!!!
use some 2 stroke oil in the fuel instead  because it (zx1) could damage the seals which I find hard to believe , but would like confirmation before I do it .... :)

ZX1 C60 Spray Lube / C60 saves the day again

After purchasing a different vehicle, namely an AUDI A4 TDi, i noticed that one of the indicator bulbs had failed. This is normally a very easy job that takes about 30 seconds, however on the B6 version of the A4 you have to take the headlight completely out of its housing and thus from the car. Again this should be quite easy, just four T30 Torx screws to loosen or take out and job done, except for mine were all severely corroded having never been removed before. So off i trot to the shed to get my trusty C60 Spray Lube and i give each screw a nice little drink then i left them alone for approx one hour whilst i got on with other things. When i came back to the job at hand, the screws gave in immediately with virtually no resistance at all, bulbs changed, headlight put back in, job done - RESULT...

Just goes to show and it never ceases to amaze me what these products can do.

If you haven't tried C60 Spray Lube yet, i suggest you do, you wont regret it...

Regards

NIck
